The most beautiful thing that I have seen

The most beautiful thing that I have seen
In all my life was when I saw him, arms
Outstretched in a robe of orchid and green,
All apothiosified by his charms
As he made his way towards me, Forgiveness
Incarnate. Oh unexpected blessing!
Oh sheer ecstasy of impending bliss!
Then my sanctified darling love did fling
His arms around me and he did hold me -
His volition - I would never presume
To take such liberties with him. Though he
Held me briefly and never to resume
I will remember til my dying day
That instant sweet 'for he was gone away.
