Loyal reader, do you think it is so wrong

Loyal reader, do you think it so wrong
That I have sung for two years from my heart
These sad poems, my unrequited song
To longing and love for the sake of art
And solace in the face of pure failure?
A convocation of politic worms
Thinks so - they laugh til their faces are sore -
They can't understand it on their own terms:
Unadulterated love means fuck-all
To your soulless worm. It is fortunate
I've blocked them with a titanium wall
And only muffled hissing gets through it
While I shout unrestrained with all of my force:
I lived! And I loved! And I have no remorse!
